Learn how to capture the beauty of the winter season in transparent watercolor. Individual instruction will provide learning opportunities for students and watercolorists of all skill levels. Students will enjoy the opportunity to learn the basics or continue to develop skills in this versatile medium with a full-time watercolorist with more than twenty-five years of professional experience. This class will help you acquire confidence in the application of modern watercolor techniques such as wet into wet washes, graduated washes and how to use masking fluid. Demonstrations, individual guidance, and a step-by-step approach will provide the foundation needed to achieve exciting results. A supply list will be provided upon registration.

Students will enjoy learning the basics of head painting in watercolor as they work from a different live model each week. This course will cover the basics of planes and anatomical proportions of the head. Demonstrations and individual guidance will be given in various watercolor techniques used to capture the essence of the subject, such as washes, layering of color, and the mixing of skin tones. A supply list will be provided upon registration.
