Pigeon Point Light, Pescadero, California c. 1871 – image: 16 x 20

Built in 1872, Pigeon Point Light is fifty miles south of San Francisco and one of the tallest light towers on the Pacific Coast. Pigeon Point takes its name from the yankee clipper Carrier Pigeon which wrecked here in 1853.
